We had an amazing time at Fugitives Drift! the food was incredible, and the staff made us feel like part of the family. the Battlefield Tours were informative and engaging, and the accommodation was comfortable. the guided walks in the game reserve were a highlight, especially for our children. a fantastic experience for families with children.
Felt more than at home, no complaints.

the 1920's farmhouse provided breathtaking views of islandwana, with comfy beds for a restful sleep. the staff were friendly and professional, even remembering our names. the tours were fascinating and the food was delicious. can't wait to return!

We had an unforgettable stay at this stunning property, surrounded by breathtaking views and abundant wildlife. the spacious rooms had lovely decks and offered peace and tranquility. the friendly staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, sharing their knowledge and making us feel like part of the family. the delicious food, including afternoon tea and snacks, was a highlight of our stay. Plus, the fantastic trails around the lodge allowed us to encounter zebras, kudus, and impalas. It truly was an experience we will cherish.
Remote location requires an SUV or jeep due to rough roads.

We had an amazing experience during our stay at this incredible guest house. The guided tours were absolutely phenomenal, providing us with a deep understanding of the history and culture of the area. The knowledgeable guides made the experience truly special, especially with their personal connections to the battles. The views from our room were breathtaking, offering a perfect backdrop to start and end our days. the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home.
There was honestly nothing that we disliked about our stay. We only wish we had more time to spend in this exceptional place.

We had an amazing stay at Fugitives Drift Guest House. the accommodations were excellent, with stunning views and a lovely garden where we spotted Impala wandering around. the food and service were top-notch, and we felt well taken care of by the knowledgeable and friendly staff. We were upgraded to the main Lodge, which was luxurious and had attentive staff who went above and beyond to make our stay special. the highlight of our visit was the battlefield tours, led by brilliant and engaging storytellers who shared captivating stories from both the British and Zulu perspectives. Communal dining allowed us to meet other interesting guests and staff. Cons: Don't have any issues at all. 😊.

The staff at Fugitives Drift were exceptional, making us feel welcome and at home. the history tours were must-do activities, leaving us with a deep understanding of the Anglo-Zulu war. the food was fantastic, with a variety of meals throughout the day. the views from the lodge were outstanding.

Mind-blowing tours with the best guides, free WiFi , delicious meals, and a pool to cool off after all that learning. Cons: I mean, who needs safety features? Fire extinguishers and first aid kits are just overrated, don't you think? So unnecessary.

We got great value for our money at Fugitives Drift. The room was lovely and the location was beautiful, especially with giraffes greeting us at the gate.
Breakfast delights could have been better with a wider variety of options.
